The NFL is what it is, we’re about a third of the way through the season, the Packers looked horrible last week, the Bears (WTF??) are leading the NFC North, yada-yada-yada. This is all well and good, and trust me, you will find all the prognostication you like in this episode.
But the focus of this commentator rests firmly on the Milwaukee Brewers this week, ready to open the National League Championship Series at Miller Park against the Dodgers on Friday. The Crew is riding an 11-game winning streak, during which the offense has done enough in clutch situations, and the pitching has been nothing short of outstanding. Still, my good friend and colleague, Mr. Schneider, needs the team to “show [him] something.”
All we can do is watch, my friends. Watch, and hope that the hot streak still has enough juice for 8 more wins in the next 14 games. Gonna be a helluva ride.
