Facebook, Privacy, and Hot Legal Action

It might be that I didn’t have enough coffee this morning, but for some reason I caught myself thinking that class-action lawsuits against Facebook regarding their ever-evolving privacy policies were a recent phenomenon now that the big FB is sharing your info with third parties.  Of course I was completely wrong.

But that doesn’t detract from my point– suing a company over published, disclosed policies, regardless of how nebulous or vague they may be, is ridiculous.  Why should we have to force Facebook to be what we want it to be?  Here in the Internet market, users should be voting for the best social network services with their traffic.  If you don’t like what Facebook is doing, it’s not fair to complain; you have to quit using it and move on to something else.
