Spidey 81, Episode 18: the Capture of Captain America

It’s a Marvel Team-Up! JJ Jameson wants to throw a Very Special event for his boyhood hero, Captain America, but Cap’s old nemesis, the Red Skull, is waiting in the wings to launch a very nefarious (and very 80s) body-switch plan. Things get a little freaky, especially at the climax of this one. What super hero has YOUR favorite origin story? Let us know, and thanks for listening!

  1. Captain America was discontinued in 1950 as you said after WW2. It was revived for 1 year in 1953, which I did not know about (I was only 2 years old). Marvel comics revived Cap in 1964 Avengers #4, and I read All the Avengers comics starting with #1 back then. Issue #4 told the story of Cap being frozen in ice. Always enjoy your show, and I agree this was my favorite episode so far.
