Info Burnout

Recently, I was leaving work and flipped around the presets on my radio dial as I pulled out of the parking lot.  Within a block, I turned it off in disgust.  I got home and fired up a web browser for no real reason but to do it, and there was nothing that I wanted to see.  Well, that’s not exactly right — there was plenty that I would like to see.  But there is so much to sort through, who has time to do it?  When is it time to declare information bankruptcy and start all over again?  How do you do that?

After a scant 16 hours of smartphone ownership, I can see that this is only going to get worse.  “Curate” is the number one buzz word for Internet companies/services right now.  Are they fighting a losing battle?
